Over the course of three days, you will explore Mikumi’s diverse landscapes, from open savannahs to woodlands, home to an abundance of wildlife. The park is renowned for its well acclimated animals, offering excellent opportunities to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, and a variety of bird species. This luxury safari combines sunrise and sunset game drives with the serenity of private exploration. Day 1: Dar es Salaam → Mikumi National Park
Depart Dar es Salaam by SGR train to Morogoro, where your driver-guide meets you for the transfer to Mikumi. Arrive in time for your first afternoon game drive buffalo, giraffes, elephants, zebras, and lions are all regulars. Check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full day in Mikumi National Park
An early sunrise game drive kicks off your best day in the park. Back for breakfast, then out again for a picnic lunch game drive, your guide picks the spot, the wildlife picks the company. The afternoon ends with a sunset game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and your second night.
Day 3: Mikumi → Dar es Salaam
One final morning game drive before exiting the park. Transfer to Morogoro SGR Station and board the train back to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the afternoon.
