This 3 days safari itinerary with Akika Adventure & Tours is thoughtfully designed to provide an immersive and rewarding experience centered around the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Tanzania’s most iconic natural wonders. Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Arusha to the Ngorongoro highlands, offering breathtaking views of rolling landscapes and rich cultural surroundings. Upon arrival, you will descend into the crater for an unforgettable game drive, exploring the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, renowned for its dense concentration of wildlife and stunning scenery. The Ngorongoro Crater offers exceptional opportunities to observe the Big Five, along with a wide variety of other animals including zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and diverse bird species, all thriving within this unique ecosystem. Throughout the safari, all logistics including accommodation, meals, and transportation—are carefully arranged to ensure a seamless and comfortable experience. Each day concludes with a relaxing stay at a lodge or camp near the crater, allowing you to unwind and enjoy the tranquility of Tanzania’s wilderness.
DAY 1 - Arusha to Serengeti National Park
You'll be picked up from your lodge and depart to Serengeti National Park for game drives while carrying lunch boxes. Once we finish the game drive, we will transfer you to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay. Serengeti is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebra, antelope, and wildebeest. Be ready to see resident predators, leopard, cheetah, and lion, fulfilling their role in the circle of life.
DAY 2 - Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro (overnight on the Ngorongoro crater)
You will wake up early and enjoy a magical game drive in Serengeti National Park. In the afternoon, depart to Ngorongoro for overnight at accommodation located on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. Early the next morning, you will get a chance to descend inside the crater and see many animals as they are more active this time of the day.
DAY 3 - Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha town
After breakfast, we'll descend inside Ngorongoro Crater for game drives. Once we finish the game drives, we will transfer you to Arusha where we will finish our safari. This park constitutes the largest uninterrupted caldera in the world and one of the Natural Wonders of Africa.
