Itinerary
Experience an unforgettable three day safari in Saadani National Park, one of Tanzania’s most unique wildlife destinations where the bush meets the beach. This specially designed itinerary is perfect for travelers with limited time who want an immersive and authentic safari experience within a three days. Throughout the day, you will explore Saadani’s diverse landscapes, from coastal savannahs and palm lined plains to riverine ecosystems along the Wami River. Wildlife is abundant, offering excellent opportunities to spot elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, and a variety of bird species, along with the chance of encountering predators such as lions and hyenas. This exclusive safari combines morning and daytime game drives with optional scenic experiences near the shores of the Indian Ocean. Traveling in a well equipped 4x4 safari vehicle, you will enjoy uninterrupted wildlife viewing, with complimentary mineral water provided throughout your journey. Accompanied by a professional and experienced safari guide, you will gain valuable insights into Saadani’s unique coastal ecosystem, wildlife behavior, and conservation importance ensuring a safe, enriching, and truly memorable safari experience, all in just three days.
Day 1: Transfer to Sadaani National Park
You will be picked from the airport or your hotel after your breakfast for your departure to Sadaani national park, the drive will take roughly 2 hours as you unwind through the beautiful setting of local villages, the historical triangle and fascinating Wami river, on reaching the park, you will go for an evening game drive to catch a glimpse at some of the wildlife in the park which includes wildebeests, hartebeest, giraffe, zebra, waterbuck and sable antelope and many others, return from your game drive and relax at the beautiful white sandy beaches before your dinner and overnight stay at your booked accommodation at the Lodge/Bandas.
Day 2: Saadani National Park Game Drive and Beach
After breakfast, you will head for Sadaani national park game drives, variety of mammals you may encounter including lions, African bush elephants, leopards, and buffaloes as well as many other animals like mongoose, reedbucks, porcupines, dik-diks, genets, warthogs to mention but a few. You will return for lunch and in the afternoon you can opt to relax at the white sandy beaches while enjoying the fresh breath of the ocean with its clear blue waters as you watch the many other animals that roam the beaches plus the marine life like the green turtles or participate in different sea activities like snorkeling, swimming or a sea safari to the middle of the ocean. On the contrary after your lunch you can do a boat safari along Wami River which empties into the Indian Ocean with its waters and swamplands being home to a large population of hippos, crocodiles, some monkeys and numerous water birds great ideal for avid bird watchers and then return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Saadani Game Drive - Dar es Salaam
Enjoy a game drive in the park for more of game viewing and last touch with wilderness and later in the day you will be transferred back to Dar es Salaam for your departure flight or back to your hotel.
